Fun Things in Term Two
Hello! In this blog I will be writing about some of the fun things my class and I got to do during term two this year. I picked three topics that I enjoyed the most this term to focus on in this blog. I hope you enjoy!
We had a watercolor class this term every Monday morning for two hours from ten am to twelve pm. Our teacher Ms. Jennifer is teaching us about technique and how to mix colors in watercolor to get what you need. Every couple of weeks we all pick new photos to draw and paint. Normally it takes me about 3 weeks to a month to finish one painting. In the beginning of February there was an art show in Lebanon and we all picked one of our watercolor paintings from previous months to put in the show. I have learned a lot in this watercolor class since I started and I love the people who take the class with me.
My class was a bowling team and would practice for an hour and a half every Wednesday. We only had one game this year and sadly we lost, and our other game was cancelled due to weather. Towards the end of the term we made bowling shirts that were bright green. (We tried to get the teachers to pick a different design. ) We all learned how to score our own points in bowling games and we learned new tricks to be better bowlers. We all had a lot of fun being on a bowling team and I recommend starting your own!
A fun thing we all do at the end of each term is book cafe! Each term we all pick a book and have three months to read them, at the end of those three months we meet at a cafe and talk about our books. We will be meeting at the Clayhouse Cafe this term for book cafe. We create visual aids to represent the book and present them to the class during our discussion. Last term I read “The Hunchback of Notre Dame” and this term I read “The Book Thief.” Book cafe is one of my favorite things that my class does and I am excited for future book cafe’s!
Term two was a great term, and I’m excited for Term three!
