La huerta en medio de la ciudad / A garden in the middle of the city

Bienvenida primavera! Gracias Dios por renovar tu gracia, misericordia y toda la tierra cada estación. Gracias a todos los voluntarios y amigos de la huerta de Paloma por su apoyo el año pasado. Fue una temporada espectacular. Una vez más, comenzamos la temporada de siembra. Gracias a nuestros voluntarios por mantener y preparar los arriates, en especial a Brandon!
Esperamos que este año también sea de bendición y de mucha cosecha. Los invitamos a acompañarnos los lunes de 6 pm a 8 pm en los eventos planeados. El calendario de eventos vendrá pronto.
Ya hay verduras y especias creciendo en la huerta. Ya pronto estarán listos para cosechar. Esta temporada vamos a poner señales y letreros para saber cuando las verduras están listas para cosechar. Algunas verduras, en especial las de hojas, pueden ser cortadas hoja por hoja y la planta se mantiene produciendo por más tiempo.
Al igual que el año pasado, queremos mantener un registro de quienes están disfrutando de la huerta. Si vienen a cosechar o a servir de voluntarios o solamente a disfrutar de observar la huerta, usa el código QR en el letrero para registrar tu visita y si cosechastes, dejanos saber que cosechastes y una cantidad aproximada del peso y número de verduras.

A Garden in the Middle of the City
Welcome, Spring! Thank you, God, for renewing Your grace, mercy, and the entire earth with every season. Thank you to all the volunteers and friends of the Paloma Garden for your support over the past year. It was a spectacular season. Once again, we are beginning the planting season. Thank you to our volunteers for maintaining and preparing the garden beds—especially Brandon!
We hope that this year, too, will be a time of blessing and bountiful harvest. We invite you to join us on Mondays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM for our planned events. The event calendar will be coming soon.
Vegetables and herbs are already growing in the garden. They will be ready for harvest very soon. This season, we will be putting up signs and markers to let you know when the vegetables are ready to be picked. Some vegetables—especially leafy greens—can be harvested leaf by leaf, allowing the plant to continue producing for a longer period.
Just like last year, we would like to keep a record of who is enjoying the garden. Whether you come to harvest, volunteer, or simply enjoy observing the garden, please use the QR code on the sign to log your visit. If you do harvest, please let us know what you picked, along with an approximate weight or count of the vegetables.
